Cinematography for Content Creators: Create Cinematic Videos

This course is designed to equip students with the basic skills and techniques needed to create effective and engaging visuals for various media platforms, including television, radio, and digital media.

The Cinematography for Content Creators course is designed to provide participants with conceptual understanding and technical skills in creating cinematic visuals for various digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other video distribution platforms.

This course integrates the fundamental principles of cinematography—including composition, framing, lighting, color, camera movement, and visual storytelling—with the characteristics of digital-era content production that is fast, mobile, and algorithm-driven.

Participants will learn the fundamental theories of cinematography rooted in both classical and contemporary filmmaking practices and adapt them for production using smartphones and lightweight digital cameras.

Practical references will draw from visual approaches in the film industry such as works produced by Pixar Animation Studios and A24 as examples of visual storytelling and stylistic approaches, as well as digital creator distribution strategies on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok.
